Here is an email that I received:

Dear David,

Ref Brad Stone

The Sickle Cell Foundation of Palm Beach County, Inc. held a family-friendly event for our clients and guests at Roger Dean Stadium last Friday evening.  Brad graciously visited our group on the party deck and signed autographs and posed for photos with guests.  He was very kind, engaged the children in conversation and stayed until all items were signed and all photos were taken.  This meant a lot for our children.

Sickle Cell Disease is an inherited blood disorder characterized by  sickle-shaped red blood cells due to lack of oxygen.  It can be very painful, especially for children.  Our Foundation serves over 600 clients in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties.  To learn more about sickle cell disease, visit our website at www.sicklecellpalmbeach.org.

Here is another account from a fan:

Hello,

Here's an account of a very brief meeting with Brad Stone.  Our church's men's ministry went to Jacksonville to watch the Suns play.  The first 3,000 fans received a free Jax hat.  Once I was inside the park, I noticed a player signing some autographs down by the field.  I enjoy collecting signatures, so I took my free hat down there.  It was Brad Stone, although I didn't realize it at the time.  The player seemed very cool and was very kind to every person there.  I just stuck my hat out and asked if he would please sign it.  He said, "sure no problem."  I thanked him and he said "you're welcome."  I attached a photo of the hat to this message.

Anyway, he signed his name with his number below.  So, when I got home I looked at the roster to see who it was.  After discovering it was Brad Stone, I searched him on Google to find out more about his career, and discovered this site.  Anyway, there's the brief story of my meeting Brad Stone.  You've got a great site, and it's cool to see a great young player who also has great character.  It will be fun to follow his career.  God bless!
